Continuing Paving Projects During COVID-19

These are unprecedented and trying times for all. COVID-19 is effecting all of us with children, elderly parents and loved ones in the health & service fields. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers as we faithfully approach each day of this pandemic.

South Coast Paving, Inc. will remain fully operational during this time when most of our clients are following the “shelter in place” or “stay at home” policy. According to Governor Newsom’s recent reports, our industry includes “Critical Infrastructure Workers” and “construction workers who support the construction, inspection, and maintenance of construction sites and construction projects“.

Additionally, the Associated General Contractors of California (AOG) has sent a bulletin that outlines construction as a critical service and construction workers are exempt from the “stay at home” policy.

We at South Coast Paving, Inc. will continue to put the health and safety of our clients and employees first as we continue to construct, maintain and repair asphalt and concrete projects during the COVID-19 outbreak. This will be accomplished by adhering to the guidelines mandated by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS). Actions include:

  • updates and safety meetings regarding the pandemic
  • posting of guidelines to all employees and clients
  • courteous social distancing
  • proper sanitizing & hygiene as suggested by the CDC
  • wearing masks and gloves on the job

These are our current safety practices whether on a public project or private property. If you have questions or concerns about any of our services or safety measures during COVID-19, please contact us. Let’s get through this together. Stay Strong and stay healthy.
